The long awaited final report from the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing has been released. For the past year, the Committee has undertaken a process to produce this report, which contains recommendations for an effective financing strategy to facilitate the mobilisation of resources and their effective use in achieving post-2015 objectives. This report is one of the inputs that will feed into the UN Secretary General's synthesis report, which will provide the foundation for the intergovernmental negotiations on the post-2015 development agenda, which are scheduled to begin in September.
