The High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) is proposed as the institutional “home” for follow-up and review of the post-2015 development agenda; and therefore presents a critical entry-point to ensure delivery of the post-2015 agenda and sustainable development more broadly.
In an effort to solicit stakeholder views and recommendations on the design of the governance body, the Sustainable Development 2015 partners conducted a consultation at the global, regional and national levels to collect views of civil society and other non-government actors on what measures, architecture and engagement mechanisms would enable an ambitious, effective and inclusive HLPF.
In particular the consultation included: a) an online survey to gather a wide range of views; b) key workshop discussions at regional UN commission meetings; c) presentation and discussion at workshops in New York at UN headquarters.
