How can global civil society work together on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the coming 15 years?
When: 28 September 2015, 9:00 -12:00
Where: Open Society Foundations, 224 W 57th St, New York.
Please join us for a meeting to discuss together how civil society can work together on Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals for the next 15 years.
The new “Transition Group” invite you, our fellow friends and colleagues from civil society, to a meeting about how we as global civil society can get together to collaborate on the mobilisation, advocacy and awareness raising about the Sustainable Development Goals the coming 15 years. This meeting is an opportunity to participate in the shaping of a new civil society initiative on accountability and implementation of the new global sustainable development agenda.
Over the past few months, many of us have been engaged in conversations about how we as civil society can build on the collaboration and momentum that have been created around the post-2015 agenda. We are confident that by coming together as global civil society, we can keep the momentum going for full implementation, follow-up and accountability of the post-2015 agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals and continue to build and strengthen the political commitment for the SDGs at all levels.
Please note that there is limited space available.
For those of you that cannot attend the meeting in person, the meeting will be live streamed and a recording will be available afterwards. It will also be possible to engage via social media. More information about this will be shared shortly.
