Last week, the Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals convened its twelth session at UN headquarters in New York. Unlike the previous sessions, delegates met in informal sessions to consider a selection of the most up to date proposed goals. As a follow-up to the meeting, the Co-Chairs of the OWG will be producing an updated version of its zero draft, which is scheduled to be released on 30 June. It is envisioned that it will be a more succinct and focused document with fewer targets.
