Pivotal final report from the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing

The long awaited final report from the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing has been released. For the past year, the Committee has undertaken a process to produce this report, which contains recommendations for an effective financing strategy to facilitate the mobilisation of resources and their effective use in achieving post-2015 objectives. This report is one of the inputs that will feed into the UN Secretary General's synthesis report, which will provide the foundation for the intergovernmental negotiations on the post-2015 development agenda, which are scheduled to begin in September.

Stakeholder Statement from the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing Consultation-Helsinki

The Intergovernmental Committee of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing (ICESDF), together with the Finnish Government hosted a multi-stakeholder consultation on “Co-creating new Partnerships for Financing Sustainable Development”, that took place in Espoo, Finland April 3-4. The event was attended by representatives from governments, private sector, the UN and a number of civil society representatives.

Summary of Latin America and Carribbean Stakeholder Meeting on Sustainable Development Finance

The Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing (ICESDF) conducted a regional outreach meeting with Latin American and Carribbean stakeholders from January 14-15 in Santiago Chile. The purpose of the meeting was to have governments, academics, civil society, and private sector representatives provide recommendations on finance for development.
